MY COMMENT ON 'WHY PAINT CATS'

I have had the coffee table book 'Why Paint Cats' for years. I've even used several of the photos for personal use on cards, one for Halloween and one for birthday. Still I hadn't read the commentary on each page. I just did recently and was puzzled by the overly serious tone of most. I only had one view and that was that the practice was purely for fun without any philosophical attachment. After all it was claimed that the paint lasted only a short time. Cats love attention and being ou'd and ah'd over. It never occurred to me that the concept was bourgeois. The practicing of 'dry painting' the cat for long periods with paint brushes to accustom it to this particular type of touch. The types of non-toxic dyes and colorants used. And finally cats can adjust to hair dryers. For all this effort the price would be high, and believable. Back to the commentary: Why so serious? Oh well. I looked on line for any specific direction for amateur, simple painting designs. THAT'S WHEN I DESCOVERED THAT THE WHOLE BOOK AND PROCESS WAS A FAKED SPOOF! I was shocked and very disappointed, but realized it was true because there were not any action videos of these works of live art only photo shopped stills. Many comments about this huge economically successful book were from self satisfied persons who could not believe the gullibility of SOME people. Well, anyone out there have any bridges or Ponzi schemes that they would like to sell me?
